Phil Moreton

Hi there, I am Phil Moreton.

I was born and raised in southern California. At the age of 24 I sold everything, paid off my debts and made a bold and life changing decision to make Mexico my permanent place of residency.
I arrived to my destination of Sayulita in August of 1998 and camped on the beach for 3 months while surfing every day.
Once camping in a tent during the summer, when it's very hot with heavy rains and LOTS of bugs, began to wear on me I decided to make a move to the more affordable Bucerias. There, I rented a covered patio equipped with a fan, a bathroom, and a hose I used as a shower whenever I pleased. Compared to beach camping, these simple comforts felt like luxury. I was living like royalty—at least in my mind!

My real estate career began in late 1999, representing investors and sellers in Bucerías and throughout the Bahía de Banderas. I later served on the first AMPI Nayarit Board—Compostela, Bahía de Banderas chapter—around the year 2000.
Jumping forward to 2025, I am grateful and blessed to be a dedicated father to Kahle, age 22, who just graduated from the UVC with a degree in International Commerce and Customs, and to Adrian, age 9, who is in 4th grade and an advanced blue belt in Taekwondo.  I am also blessed and grateful to be married to Erika, the most amazing and wonderful woman who is also my partner and teammate in everything. 

With over 25 years of experience representing investors and sellers in the region, I bring real-world knowledge, professionalism, fully bilingual representation, and the lasting friendship you deserve.

Hola, soy Phil Moreton.

Nací y crecí en el sur de California y, a los 24 años, vendí todo, pagué mis deudas y tomé una decisión audaz y que cambió mi vida: hacer de México mi lugar de residencia permanente.
Llegué a mi destino, Sayulita, en agosto de 1998 y acampé en la playa durante 3 meses mientras surfeaba todos los días.
A medida que acampar en una casa de campaña durante el verano —cuando hace mucho calor, fuertes lluvias y muchos bichos — comenzó a cansarme. Decidí mudarme a Bucerías, un lugar más accesible, y rentar un patio techado que tenía un ventilador, baño y una manguera que usaba para bañarme cuando quisiera. Solo unos cuantos lujos que el campamento en la playa no ofrecía. Ahora vivía como un rey!

Para resumir la historia, comencé mi carrera en bienes raíces representando a inversionistas y vendedores de propiedades en Bucerías y en toda la Bahía de Banderas a finales de 1999.
Formé parte del primer consejo de AMPI Nayarit, Compostela pero en Bahia de Banderas a principios del año 2000.
Avanzando hasta 2025, me siento agradecido y bendecido de ser un padre dedicado de Kahle, de 22 años, quien acaba de graduarse de la UVC con una licenciatura en Comercio Internacional y Aduanas, y de Adrián, de 9 años, quien cursa cuarto grado y es cinta azul avanzada en Taekwondo. También me siento bendecido y agradecido de estar casado con la mujer más increíble y maravillosa, Erika, quien además es mi compañera y socia en todo.
